Does anyone make a high quality scope with the old TV screen wide view like the old Japanese Tasco scopes from the 70s and 80s?

I don't think so. I have 2 of the old weavers and a couple of the redfield widefields that still function. They are pretty good for hunting timber. I have one on a muzzleloader and a couple others on old 760's.

But, I don't think redfield has a version anymore. Which is fine because they are now chinese made since academy bought the brand from leupold.

I almost think I’d be better off buying old one

I have a Weaver K4 wide view.

No, but most of your high quality scopes do limit their FOV because Swarovski will sue them if they don't.

So Leica infringed upon a patent held by Swarovski and got sued for it.

Happens every day in business.

Now I know why the Leica’s and Swaro’s don’t play nice in the safe when nobody is looking rofl
