I stopped shooting SST' after making making good shots and deer running off and leaving no blood trail. They don't leave exit wounds. Gut deer and inside is destroyed. MY experience with SST as well. Actually recovered the jacket and core that had separated inside the deer. Deer died no problem. Only went about 30-50 yards, but which direction in thick pines?? Stumbled on him What caliber? My experience has been opposite even shooting with 308.. they do expand quickly 7-08
