I heard here on Aldeer that if you've got a .243..... You can just take the cartridge out of the rifle and just throw it at the deer you'll get a complete pass through as long as it has a 42 grain Barnes stuck in the end of it.
I'm skeptical. I think I'd be more comfortable throwing something with a smaller bullet since I threw out my right shoulder drinking and might need to use a slingshot to get the velocity up.
Thoughts?
Why go through all the effort of throwing the cartridge when all you have to do is just show a 6.5 Creedmoor cartridge to the deer and they just fall over dead.
