270wsm checking in! Sorry DeerTracker, but I did not receive a PM from you.
I'll be heading to NW La on the 25th for most likely my first hunt of the year. Then off to Nebraska on Nov 8th to hunt the Nov 10-19th rifle season.

It seems some of yall know one another. I have met only two members and they both live in our around Phenix City. At one time Perchjerker lived in Columbus, Ga and i called him a lot. i have only been hunting for about 10 years and know more now than i did then about hunting but have a long long way to go. i have learned a ton of stuff on Aldeer.com as well as talking to Perchjerker and some local friends that hunt a lot.
I have 3 grown children and only started hunting after they left the nest. I now have 8 grandchildren and one more on the way and took two of my girls hunting with me last year which was a blast. We have 3 male grandkids all less than 4. it is just a matter of time before they start going with me.
Just a little intro to let yall know who I am.

Went this morning and this afternoon and saw nothing and got winded this morning about 10:00 AM. That was the closest action I saw all day. To freaking hot!!!
Will try again in the morning.

yeah i went yesterday afternoon, like you said DeerTracker its too hot! supposed* to be a cold front coming in so maybe this weekend will be better!

This contest/team thing is a whole lot funner and more interesting if we all participate and post on a regular basis. We also get to know one another better.

Went this morning stayed to about 12:30 and saw none but got winded 4 times. Never could understand why since I was hunting up a draw with the wind dead in my face. The deer that blew were north of me and northeast east of me. Still can't figure how they smelled me. Beautiful day though. Acorns falling all around but no deer to be seen. My hunting buddy had 3 does come in and could not get on any one until they saw him, blew and left.
