I came across Coon Creek Farms on instagram. Does anyone know anything about it? Is it a private club hunting wild birds, farm-raised birds, or what? They post some nice stringers of pintails, mallards, etc pretty regularly.

It’s privately owned and they are wild birds.

There are people who consistently kill ducks in Alabama. They either have very DEEP pockets or never tell anyone about their kills. The very nature of duck hunting with shotguns makes keeping the good spots a secret almost impossible even on private land.

Bruce Parks place I believe. Sits right against crow creek wma/refuge. He plants it, floods it, and hunts it on cold fronts. This place is part of the reason crow creek doesn’t have birds anymore. Pressure on public is the main reason.
