About 27-28 degrees is good enough to get the deer moving.....I'm good if we dont go below that You got that right!!! I don’t handle the cold like I used to. Recent research suggests there is no significant increase in deer activity during cold weather. But, there is a large increase in hunter activity typically which leads to more people seeing deer and telling people they saw deer. Edit to add: That research won’t stop me from also being in the woods during a cold front  Where was that research done? I believe there's less hunters up in the woods up here when it gets down near single digits . Down around 15 and lower is cold up here, real cold , unless in a heated shooting house and you don't find those in the woods. Then there's the whole corn pile angle, when it's single digits that's where the activity is. It's like shooting deer in a barrel. Research has been done by Penn State, Auburn, Mississippi State. All have same conclusion, not enough data to indicate an increase or decrease in deer activity during cold fronts. Mostly seems to stay average.
