Back ten or so years ago there was one winter once January got here it’s stayed in the teens and twenty’s for lows for what I can remember like a month. Mud holes were frozen solid duck ponds were frozen solid the deer eating the grass was like them eating popsicles. It was hard hunting for sure because they could hear you coming a mile away because all the leaves everything was frozen.
That was the 10/11 season I believe. We were hunting by Georgiana and I think it was 17 days it didn’t get above freezing. We had set 3 275 gallon totes to catch rain water. All 3 of them froze solid. We put our fire pit close to them and had a fan blowing the heat on one so we have water to flush toilets and wash dishes. First time I’d ever seen the mud spew up. Man that was cold.
It's hard to kiss the lips at night that chews your a$$ all day long.
