Well guys we just made it back home.Been a rough few days.I guess I will tell y'all exactly what happened now.Him and a buddy was goin down 98 west and a 25 year old girl was headed up 98 east.The girl was in the turning lane and was gonna shoot across to a side road.The guy riding with him said he seen her just keep rolling real slow and come to a stop right before they got to her.He said they got within maybe 25 feet or so and she shot on out in front of em.He swerved and missed her but my fil was riding on the inside and barely caught the front right behind the headlight.Another 12 inches or so and he woulda missed her.He hit the brakes and layed the bike down but it layed down with him towards the car.It crushed everything on the top of his bike.His bikes a ultra classic.It tore him up pretty good but he was still hanging in there for a while.We think it was probably internal problems that got him.He's on blood thinners cause he's had 5 strokes so he lost alotta blood.This man had been from california to maine and every state in between.Only place he hasn't been is alaska but they had plans of goin.He has been riding for about 43 years and that's what he lived for.He had 2 houses in hueytown that he sold and he bought a 37 ft toy hauler and a brand new dually a few years ago with big plans of traveling some more.He left hueytown and made it to wind creek where he stayed for 2 years.The last 3 years he's been in my backyard in his camper.Every weekend he was on my porch with a beer in his hand.We would grill and drink beer every weekend.He became like a father to me but more so a best friend.We have had many talks about what he wanted us to do if something happened to him and he always made it a point for us to know he wanted to be cremated and he wanted us to take him to the mountains in tennessee and dump him in the mountains.That was his most favorite place to be other than here with his grandbabies.So we went with his wishes as hard as it was and had him cremated and were getting a harley tank painted just like his to put half his ashes in to keep here at home.Were gonna take the other half to the mountains like he wanted.He was a loved man by alotta people and will be dearly missed.Just wanted to tell every one of y'all thanks for the prayers.It means more to us than you know.If any of y'all ever need anything don't hesitate to ask.

TROX SORRY TO HEAR ABOUT THE LOS OF YOUR FATHER-IN-LAW, AS I SAID BEFORE I LOST MY DAD IN MARCH OF 2011 IN THORSBY NEXT TO THE SCHOOL BEHIND THE GROCERY STORE WHEN HE WAS INVOLVED IN A WRECK ON HIS HARLEY, A CAR CROSSED THE LINE AND IT WAS PULLING A TRAILER AND HE HIT THE CORNER OF THE TRAILER AND GOT THROWN OVER THE TRAILER AND DIED A CHILTON HOSPITAL.. IF YOU OR THE FAMILY NEED ANYTHING THEN YOU LET US KNOW AND WE WILL DO WHAT WE CAN TO HELP YALL OUT.
