I’ve seen multiple VERY large tracts unable to continue to manage deer herds for older age class bucks after corn was legalized. Just throw their hands up and quit. Done with it. Spend tens of thousands on habitat improvements, feed, etc to see the buck segment dwindle down to nothing older than 3 after all the outskirts properties had a way to attract deer to the lines. kinda funny in a way , but people wanted to bait Yea, and kind of ironic. Those rich folks sure were ok with being able to use money as an advantage to grow big deer and improve their experience. But damn if the the neighbor with 20 acres puts up a feeder… Can we address the real issue? The Alabama deer season and harvest limits are too liberal. how bout we go back to no baiting and up the fines for it and do away with Feb. hunting leave season and limits alone
