We might be down there next month. I found a loft AirBnB downtown and we are planning on doing the Yellow River. I wanted to go this month for the Christmas stuff yall do, but the wife got busy and we couldn't make it. Need a place or two to get a beer and some can't miss eateries if there are any. Looks like there was a local steak chain place. Perhaps a catfish place?


The choice was Andalusia/Opp/Florala. Not much in either of those two places.


William we have Daivd's Catfish House (Fish & Shrimp), Big Mike's (Steak) and Lost Pizza are few of the local places we eat. Someone opened The B Pub in town for Beer and Big Mike's has a nice bar area. I have never been to The B Pub but showing 5 star reviews on their Facebook page.

As you mentioned the town does Candyland during Christmas that seems to be a big attraction.

Andalusia has way more stuff than Opp and Florala. Opp use to have one fine little seafood restaurant called Bar's. It's been closed for a long time now but I sure miss eating at that place.

Andalusia is a fine little town, I think you will find the rural setting you are looking for with plenty of things to do within a reasonable drive.
