Not the right time of the year and may not be the root cause, but I was told that soaking green walnuts and collecting the liquid was a good cure of ear mites. I have not had a dog with ear problems, but I thought about mixing some up and putting it in the freezer. I also read where it is good to make worms come above the surface. That makes me think it might be a natural bug repellent.
