Hwy 80 from Montgomery to York-Cuba is going to be turned fully into I-85 so it can join 20-59. The routes are planned and the pre-planning phase is mostly done. Property is steadily being acquired. Its going to be interesting to see how Trump and Elon move but both like to build at Eisenhower speed or faster. I expect to see dirt moving on the project before Trump's term is over. When that is complete and open, all of the real estate on the north side of the new interstate is going to get very damn expensive. The north side will be serving B-Ham, T-Town, and every other big city to the north. Demopolis north-side should grow rapidly. Now is a good time to be buying over that way for your children and grandchildren.
That’s funny, been working on 4 laning US 80 since I graduated in “77”, worked on some of the initial surveying during the summer, It won’t been done in your kids life time much less ours
