Have you looked on ebay? Quick search just now has some fairly reasonable.

Bought the wife one 8 years ago. She loves it. All the attachments get expensive.

Bought one earlier this year. Just bought some attachments for it. Amazon had them on sale a few weeks ago, not sure now.

I priced a bunch of them for us a few months ago. Just wanted it to make butter. I was a bit surprised when I went to walmart a the pricing. On the way out the door they had a display with some smaller ones endorsed by Drew Barrymore.

Linky

It was 1/3 the price or better and just wanted to make butter. It worked like a champ. Limited in scope, but works. I still want one of those nicer ones, but I'm good for now with this one.

My wife literally bought one of these at the Walmart in Gadsden for the same price out the door this afternoon. The one in boaz may have them too. Comes with three basic attachments but I noticed on the box you can buy more including on that’ll grind meat. That might make it worth it.

Wife loves hers but usually just uses it to do cake mix. I did some deer sausage balls the other day and let’s just say I had shitt rolling out of the top and she tried to tell me I had too much but didn’t listen. They good machines since it survived me

We have had ours for over 30 years and it has never missed a lick. We grind meat (10 lbs or less), grate cheese, mix stuff, slice veggies, use it for slicing/peeling apples to dry, and a bunch of other stuff.

If we need to process a deer, we break out the monster Cabela's grinder, but to grind 1-15 lbs of meat, it works great. Same with cheese. If I need to grate one block of parmesan, I use the Kitchenaid. If I'm grating 2-10 lbs of cheese like I did yesterday, I'm using the specialty tool (Cuisinart).

We don't buy pre-grated cheese since we found out that they add fine sawdust to keep it from clumping. I would rather have to spread by hand than eat sawdust. I eat enough sawdust when I run the planer.

Keep an eye on Estate sales and occasionally there will be one that can be had very reasonably

I can get you an employee pricing guest pass for a new or refurbished bowl lift mixer. looks like they are as low as 199.00 for a 5 quart and some of the commercial ones are half off at $469. just pm me with your email address and I can send you a pass good for a month or two. but you may be looking for something sooner. same goes for anyone looking for whirlpool, maytag or kitchen aid appliances.
