I haven't shot an animal with the eldx yet but they shoot 1/2" groups in my 308 and 300wm. You goobers could have told me about the downside to them before I stocked up on them. Think you'll be just fine with the 300wm. What ive seen is some just dont have the azz behind 'em to make that bullet perform, why lots folks had better results with the Match bullet. We've had great results with the ELDX with the 6.5 & 300PRC (haven't even scoped my 7 yet 😔) James is right on target. The guys that I’m familiar with that had issues were shooting lower velocity cartridges. Most were the 6.5 Creedmoor 143gr. I think at the slower velocity, once the front end of the bullet expanded and came apart, it didn’t have enough energy left push the tail end of the bullet through the animal. Just my opinion of course.
It's hard to kiss the lips at night that chews your a$$ all day long.
