I've enjoyed the Spyderco Sharpmaker. Prior to to that used diamond hones for rough work, a soft then a hard Washita stone, then strop with rouge. I've made knives for 30 years,and build the initial edge on several increasingly fine 2x72 belts, then a buffer. The Sharpmaker is the first "system" that I've thought could do better than I could by hand. Not to say that the other "systems" (Lansky, Wicked Edge, etc) aren't just as good.
Iām coming to town Sunday or Monday and may have to swing by for a touch up with my knives š š you think Iām kidding lol
