I just took a direct hit on the noggin from a chestnut oak. I need a hard hat. Lol. To bad deer don't eat them on our place. Can hear the white oaks dropping every couple of minutes

Im already thinking bout my midday set up probably gonna ease down round 9 and go set up on a big creek bottom in a group of huge loaded persimmon trees. What is yalls midday strategy? I feel like water is the place to be midday.

I feel like water is the place to be midday. For my midday setup, I'm thinking either the corner booth at Hardee's for a thickburger or maybe Zaxby's for a chicken finger plate, large size.

It's been quite here since the 4 came through. I'm pretty sure the one doing all the blowing messed this spot up. I'm going to sit until 10:30 then change locations for my afternoon hunt.

Well my day started bad.. Yesterday the wife got sick so I had to hunt public this mornin.. Then I Woke up late... Got out there and the plan went to shucks quick.... Was gonna cross a creek... Yea not happening in the boots I wear.. So I let my buddy climb the tree on the creek and I back tracked and wondered into the thick stuff found a tree and set up... about 0700 I had a damn yippin dog come threw a about 5 yrds and by the time i got up and drew he was past me so I tried a lil mouth calling... Didnt work.. Pissed me off cuz I hate them damn yotes.. Sat till 10 and came home... Momma feels worse so I aint gettin to go up north fer another day.. Maybe I'll get lucky in the Am.
GOOD shootin hunter!
Good luck to everyone the afternoon! Yall stick one for me Im on baby watch!
