Settled in on an oak flat next to a cutover with bedding behind me. Rain just let up and the sketters picked up. This is what we been waiting for, lets get it done. Good luck everyone

Sitting on a ridge of white oaks between 2 bedding areas. Little bit of a late start after we got stuck coming through the pasture. Lol. Must have rained more than I thought. Deer are moving. Saw one doe right as day was breaking

Not a good start for me. Left my camo outside last night to air out, and it was pouring rain when I woke up. Had to put my stuff in the dryer not to mention my boots were outside also. Got to my stand by 6:10 almost good to go and dropped my release tryIng to put it on in the dark. Normally I have a back up but had to loan it to my brother this morn. Sitting on a nice oak ridge behind the house. Spirits are still high though it feels great to be in a stand!

Had to wait out the lightning in the truck. But still managed to get in by daybreak. On the edge of planted pines/hard wood ridge. White oak raining acorns. Lots of pics on this spot.

Ran 2 or 3 out of the oak flat coming in, lack of movement thus far is more than compensated in the numbers of mosquitoes circling my head.....dadgum I've missed this

Nothing so far. With this wet ground they are in stealth mode. Gotta keep your eyes open and head on a swivel.

Rain made it hard on me getting to my spot. I got settled in just after first light. Scots are falling & squirrels are everywhere. No deer yet. Gonna be hard to hear em as wet as it is.

Just got in tree. Waited for rain to quit. Jumped a doe and 6 pt still in velvet coming in. Feels like a dang sauna!

Just had a doe sneak in behind me at 10 yards, had no idea she was there until I turned my head to check my surroundings and she busted me and blew outta the county.

I'm set up on a oak flat between two pine plantations. I've seen 4 pine goats and the some what caught my wind. The one doe blew and blew but she never did leave. She finally eased off and she's very lucky I did not have a shot. If I could have got her in a clear opening and on camera I had plans to let this EVO and Rage eat. I hate those big mule head does that just blow and blow!!!
