Lots of folks do it. And while it is technically wrong (as you pointed out), it seems like they would make just as much and maybe even more if they lowered the prices and more people subscribed.

If you have 10 people paying $30 a month but only 2 people paying $100 a month and sharing their passwords, then there is $100 that the company is missing out on and I do not know how they can enforce not sharing it especially in a close geographical range.

It’s not “technically wrong”. It’s stealing.
