The good news (if you wanna call it that) is that it was workmanship related NOT a design flaw that couldn’t be rectified by firing several people and replacing them with people willing to do their job correctly. I’m a big Toyota fan but they’re slipping. Just bought my wife a used Lexus GX460. It’s the last of the V8 models. It’s mostly the same platform as her previous 4Runner but a MUCH nicer vehicle.
