Their is not 12 teams out there bettr than bama
And what JW said - the right bama team shows up - hard to beat. The bad bama show up - may b one amd done Agree.....bama teams in the past were always consistent....this year, the inconsistency showed a lot.....just when you thought the defense would be dominant....they look like they are lost and always out of position.....offense same way, some of the play calling in crucial moments was terrible.....everybody new they would run Milroe at all times, so they put 8 people on the line of scrimmage and stopped it....

You are correct. So why add any teams outside the conference that a loss would be possible if it doesnt matter If they’re not SEC teams then they should be easy wins. Right? Yeah, if it's teams like fsu

Yeah, if it's teams like fsu True! FSU should have been 0-12 this year. But, non-SEC teams should never beat an SEC school according to the purest.

3 loss team. Shouldn’t be there. Clemson is a 3 loss team 🤷🏻♂️ & SMU is seeded ahead of them & lost the championship game 🤦🏻♂️💩 when Alabama got curb stomped by Oklahoma that cost them … before season started, I called Alabama a 9-3 team with losses to Tennessee, Georgia, and LSU - didn’t play out that way … auto-bids of conference championship winners needs to be dialed out … just seed the top 12 teams & be done with it

Problem with the non conference strength of schedule argument is all 3 of Bama’s losses were in conference. So wouldn’t have mattered if they didn’t play their one stronger game against Wisconsin or not

I think what they are saying is that if f strength of schedule doesn’t matter, then programs shouldn’t schedule tough games in the part of their schedule they can control.

Yes, I understand that part. But still have to take care of in conference games you should win, ie Vandy and Oklahoma

Or they could have just beat Vandy. You want to be in the playoffs, don't lose 3 gaimes. Unless you win your conference championship And you go to the SECCG if you beat OK. If good Bama shows up you beat Texas. Bad Bama shows up and you lose but still host a playoff game. Like I said, that OK loss hurt worse than the Vandy loss IMO. It was a very bad loss and at the wrong time. If that had happened in the 2nd game it would have been viewed differently.

Bama shouldn't have lost three games, they don't deserve to be in the playoffs. The conferences are not all the same, so should the committee rely more on strength of schedule? I do agree not to punish SMU for loosing a conference championship by a field goal at the end of the game.

Why?
All of Bama’s losses were conference games this year.
Because the committee spoke loud and clear and the message they sent was wins and losses matter and SOS doesn’t. Why play a top tier P4 game and risk the L when the committee views a W against #2 Georgia the same as a W against Georgia State. Why beef up your schedule when they don’t take it into consideration? That’s really as simple as I can explain it. They could go the Auburn route and play the bottom dwellers of the P4 conferences like Cal, or Washington State, etc. Don’t mean that as a slam but those are all the facts. With the message the committee sent that’s just smart scheduling now. Who wants to go through the SEC gauntlet and play Ohio State and Notre Dame as non conference opponents? Hell Alabama has set themselves up to play FSU and Wisconsin next year as non conference games. Drop one of those and you have to go undefeated or lose at worst one league game to be considered for the playoffs. I bet in six months all these top P4 matchups will be cancelled and it’s a real shame.

So Wisconsin and fsu are top tier teams?
Hard to look 5 years into the future and see what a team's record is going to be...contracts for a home-and-home series with Wisconsin and FSU were signed in 2019

He’s just trying to be a much of a goober as he can. The comment was that auburn scheduled bottom dwellers like cal and Washington State, i know I'm a know nothing goober, but every Bama fan on here said fsu wasn't any good last year when they were, undefeated, and when was the last time Wisconsin played for anything???? Alabama had 4 times the talent of each team they lost to, and all the teams they beat, with the exception of maybe Georgia , smu had less talent then most teams they beat and lost to none they had more talent than. Bama has NO on feild claim to making playoffs. Only entitlement they they should be there just cause they're Bama, and that ain't no troll! Bottom line smu beat teams better than them, bamma lost to teams worse than them and beat zero that had more talent
