I mean in reality, don’t chit the bed against OU and it takes care of itself.
They didn’t deserve it. I’m inclined to agree. I’m also afraid that Alabama will cancel their home and homes with FSU, Ohio State, and Notre Dame and others as a direct result of the precedent set today. Why not just go back to playing 4 FCS schools in non conference to mitigate the risk? I’m afraid we are going to lose all those great games in the future to see FCS teams get slaughtered for the sake of a W. Greg Byrne is already talking about reevaluating future schedules. It sucks but it’s where we are now. And no, I’m not talking about this season. I realize all losses were league games, hence my agreement with the undeserving comment. Hell I said that weeks ago after the Sooners made them their biatch. They still got to sell tickets and Tide Pride memberships

Prior to Saban Alabama played these weak FCS opponents and there wasn’t an empty seat in the house at kickoff. Now at halftime it was a little different story.

The playoffs started for Bama after the loss to Tennessee.
They got skull dragged by a .500 Oklahoma team and their playoff ended in Norman Oklahoma

And what JW said - the right bama team shows up - hard to beat. The bad bama show up - may b one amd done Problem with that is the CFP isn't built solely around the top 12 teams. The automatic bids are tied to conference champs and it skews the picture. I'm a fan of the top 12 get in, period. Conference champs play into that picture, but they don't automatically get slots. I can only hope this is addressed this offseason.

Make Notre Dame join a conference and that may solve some of the problems, no way SMU or Clemson gets in if Notre Dame is in ACC ilike they are in other sports.

So who feels like Bama deserves to be in? Booger?  Absolutely, every team gets there butts handed to them every season by two unranked teams. I’m glad the selection committee rewarded the teams that won and not the ones that should have won.

SEC will be much tougher in basketball than they were in football this year - watch what i am telling ya! Sec freaking loaded. Bama and au got prob best teams they ever had - tenn stacked and several other good ones! Sanky said b-ball needs to get stronger n the sec - well it did!!

Mercer, usf, whiskey...and auburn?  Their problem wasn't ooc...it was chitting the bed against bad in conf teams. They didn't deserve to get in.

Or they could have just beat Vandy. You want to be in the playoffs, don't lose 3 gaimes. Unless you win your conference championship And you go to the SECCG if you beat OK. If good Bama shows up you beat Texas. Bad Bama shows up and you lose but still host a playoff game. Like I said, that OK loss hurt worse than the Vandy loss IMO.
