SMU had grit! There wasn’t a drive or play that was half ass effort. You ain’t lying. I was on them early but they hung in there. Not really sure how good Clemson is but they came back and were a special teams screw up away for winning that game. I think SMU wins in an overtime game. Great. They are both about a top 20 - 25 team that play in a league with Notre Dame, Miami and 8 or so top 40 to 75 programs. Problem is they don't play Notre Dame or Miami either. Nebraska and Oklahoma did this for years. Play 9 scrimmages and then play each other for the chance to go win the Natty at the Orange Bowl. Yeah, no wonder the ACC doesn't have much cache with getting more TV money. The ACC knows how to get someone into the playoffs.
