While Assad was certainly an evil man, when he was in power Syria was kept in check. Mark my words, now it will just be a terrorist base of operations that will be a thorn in the side of the Western world. In the game of pick your poison, it is best to pick the one that can be kept in check. With Assad, we didn't even have to do it, Russia did it for us. Now our best bet is for the terrorists that take over Syria turn their wrath towards Russia, since they were the ones keeping Assad in power for so long.

Mark my words, now it will just be a terrorist base of operations that will be a thorn in the side of the Western world. In the game of pick your poison, it is best to pick the one that can be kept in check. With Assad, we didn't even have to do it, Russia did it for us. Now our best bet is for the terrorists that take over Syria turn their wrath towards Russia, since they were the ones keeping Assad in power for so long. They aren't that stupid, who knows, they have already cut a deal to get weapons and training from them to attack the great satan. Russia is playing the long end game. So are the Muslims, they are letting us turn from our God while they radicalize theirs.

Russia says Assad is good for talks in Geneva and wants to peacefully surrender. So who knows what the phuck is actually going on.

Russia just said that Assad and his family are safe in Russia right now. Russia also says Assad is no longer in power and Syria has fallen. Russia is going to allow Assad "basic" protections and allow "talks". Whatever that means.
I guess they are going to give Assad's family citizenship protections and probably execute Assad for mission failure or use him as a tool like they usually do with political prisoners.

Lebanon is about to be split in half and no longer be called Lebanon. They got themselves a full blown mixed up mess of a war now.
