is Notre Dame. The ACC does not deserve 3 teams. The 3rd place team (SMU) lost both games against decent competition.

SMU had grit! There wasn’t a drive or play that was half ass effort.

They are both about a top 20 - 25 team that play in a league with Notre Dame, Miami and 8 or so top 40 to 75 programs. Problem is they don't play Notre Dame or Miami either. Nebraska and Oklahoma did this for years. Play 9 scrimmages and then play each other for the chance to go win the Natty at the Orange Bowl.

Yeah, no wonder the ACC doesn't have much cache with getting more TV money. The ACC knows how to get someone into the playoffs.

I think the ACC gets their payback over Alabama and the SEC but it won't be justified by what was done on the field by SMU. SMU simply failed to beat a top 25 team all season. What we are about to see is bad losses mean more than great wins. Automatic bids are entitlements.

SMU is in the same position and has the same argument as Miami last week for the CFP rankings. Will the Committee use their senses handle SMU the same way they did Miami. Common sense should say Yes. SMU has not beat a Top 25 team all season and last night was their chance. SMU failed the test and that is exactly the reason SMU should be left out of the CFP Playoffs. SMU does not belong in it will their SOS being very weak to go along with no Top 25 wins. The Committee has said all of this will be considered and I think that is the reason SMU will be left out and a lot of people will be crying just like FSU and a lot of other Bama haters were too.

I hope you are right just so I will be more interested in the playoffs and don’t have to pull for GA lol.

That was a great game. I think they got to celebrating too much and Clemson burned them on the kick return. They completed a pass and Guy also made a great kick with time expiring. Kind of felt sorry for them 😀

Also, unless I heard wrong, the placekicker for SMU is from Prattville.

Notre Dame football program is not in any conference. Therefore, they can’t be the champ of any conference.

Notre Dame football program is not in any conference. Therefore, they can’t be the champ of any conference. They beat 5 ACC teams this year. They play the ACC schedule every year and have done so since 2013. They get all the benefit of playing a weak conference schedule without the drawbacks of sharing revenue. In 2020 they "joined" the ACC to be eligible for the covid year playoff. They got in the playoff in 2020 and promptly "quit" the next year while keeping the weak ACC schedule. If it struts like a gobbler... roosts like a gobbler... and sounds off like a gobbler, I call it... then shoot it.

Not because they are the better team but because its been ordained. Almost exactly like Hillary and Kamala were ordained. Rigged system in their favor as always.

They’re not part of a conference in football, so should not be considered in the pick’em tournament.

The ACC shouldn't be considered a power 5 conference IMO. The champion played 2 SEC teams and got whipped by both. They suck.
