Do you already have a switch n place for this or a switched outlet you are planning on using?
YES I already have an extra wall switch.
On our under cabinet lights, I used the microwave outlet (a standard duplex outlet) with a “smart plug” to connect the led strip’s power adapter (a little wall wart). Just ran the low voltage wires to each side from there. We leave the switch that came with the leds on and set to the brightness we want all the time. I can use the phone app or tell Alexa to turn the lights on via the smart plug. I think they make “switches” or buttons that are smart that could turn the smart plug on and off too, we just didn’t need that.
