Im glad he got plowed. I hate that sliding bull crap. Whats the defensive player supposed to do? Stop in mid tackle because the wussy slides???? yes. it's a different game being played, is what the qb is instructed to do, and the defensive player is supposed to let up. flag football for qb's.

I just watched on youtube, the defender was 5 yards from him when he started a slide, he went right at his head. Now, I'll agree about qb's and being taken care of by the NFL, but that stuff doesn't need to be in the game anymore. The qb is down not where he slides to, but where he starts his slide. He and his Pro Palestinian shoes are off to the showers.
The one I don't like is Mahomes, he starts to go out of bounds, then fakes the defender and goes down the side lines. The defender lets up, and he keeps going. If he starts that, he should be down, the defender would have a flag thrown if he hits him close to the sideline. Yeah Mahomes has done that crap several times. Someone needs to blow him up whether he goes out or not just to teach him a lesson, but the refs are in his pocket I guess. As far as the Lawrence hit, I think because he was so close to the first down the dude hit him to keep from getting it maybe. Not condoning it, but sliding right at the first down marker is a tough call.

The hit does not change the spot.

My luck has been so bad lately, it could be raining pussies and I'd catch one with a dick broke off in it.

Here is what the Nfl said about the cheapshot, per Espn....."Video shows you striking the head/neck area of Jaguars’ quarterback Trevor Lawrence after he clearly goes down in a feet-first slide...You led with your forearm and helmet and delivered a forceful blow to the head/neck area of your opponent when you had time and space to avoid such contact."
Runyan suggested Al-Shaair's actions after the hit played a part in the punishment.
"After the illegal hit, you proceeded to engage in a brawl, which you escalated when you pulled an opponent down to the ground by his facemask. After the referee announced that you were disqualified for the hit and your unsportsmanlike acts, you removed your helmet and reengaged with your opponent while walking down and across the field, which started another physical confrontation near the end zone."
Runyan also called out Al-Shaair's "lack of sportsmanship" and other offenses that ultimately led to the three-game ban.
"Your lack of sportsmanship and respect for the game of football and all those who play, coach, and enjoy watching it, is troubling and does not reflect the core values of the NFL," he said. "Your continued disregard for NFL playing rules puts the health and safety of both you and your opponents in jeopardy and will not be tolerated."

Didn't Demeco Ryans, the head coach, defend him? It was something about like what some of you said, that it was on the qb to get down quicker.

Ain't no probably to it...The Jags have shut him down so he can have shoulder surgery Jaguars QB Trevor Lawrence placed o...Al-Shaair, set for season-ending surgeryLawrence's season is now reportedly over, too. Lawrence is expected to have surgery to repair his AC joint injury in his left shoulder in the coming weeks, according to the NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. The 25-year-old is expected to be fully recovered in time for the start of the 2025 season.
