Tired of waking up and walking on what feel like bruised foot pads. Doc says heel cups and foot rollers along with stretches. I am seeing night splints online as well. What do you guys do for relief?

I did the foot roller/ ball, stretching and night splint. That helped a lot, but I think the driver Scholls shoe inserts have helped it from coming back.

Got better shoes and better insoles, stretched, lost weight, did more exercises to strengthen back-hamstring-leg muscles. Mostly the latter two.
Ain't no quick fixes. Cortisone just deadens it for a few weeks and the shots hurt like hell.

Get your Dr to write you a prescription for Gabapentin and get you some PowerStep insoles. Complete game changer.

As stated above, the injections hurt like all hell. Can freeze a plastic water bottle and stand on it rolling it on the bottom

I started using a Auvon tens unit from Amazon for less than $40. I use it at night before I go to bed and it’s really been helping me. It’s still uncomfortable at times but doesn’t feel like I’m standing on a rock all day. This has helped mine more than anything so far.

I used to have to climb stairs on my hands and knees. Arch supports cured mine and you don’t need the $300 prescription ones. Dr. shot cortisone in my heel once. That will NEVER happen again.

Plantar is caused by weak feet. You have two choices: support the weak feet with inserts or strengthen your feet. I chose the latter. 60% of all people above the age of 65 that fall and break a femur or hip are dead within a year. Those falls are caused by weak feet.
Go get some zero drop shoes or barefoot shoes. Start exercising your feet and calves. It took almost 6 months of work, but mine finally went away and has never come back.

This will make you dog cuss me but it helped mine. First get the inserts second get a big spoon and rub the bottom of your foot firmly after the pain subsides keep it up for 5 minutes then use the frozen water bottle to cool down the area.

I can get rid of it in two grooling weeks for you.
Do this like a religion:
Do calf stretches every half hour
Throw away any arch support and wear flat flexible shoes
Kneed the tendon harshly as often as possible for a couple of weeks with something hard or your knuckle
Kneel and bend forward like a muslim in prayer often as you can
God made your arch, don’t support it !

Everybodies case is prob different. Exercising and stretching for months did jack squat. Ordered special insole off informercial helped the most with high arch. Had pain for many months - got insole and within a few weeks - pain was about gone
Had friends tell me what to do -
None worked - probably because i had a worst case. Both times i got a really bad case is when i pushed very hard running (one was a full speed whiffle ball game against the preacher and his boy where we ran bases full speed. My butt is way too old for that

I did stretching before I got out of bed every morning to loosen them up before I walked. Also tried several different shoe inserts before I found one that worked for me. Its some painful stuff. I got the injection too and it hurt like a mofo but gave me a couple months of relief. They put the needle right up against the heel bone before they shoot the meds in there.

I bought a pair of Hoka tennis shoes that are made for plantar fasciitis. It’s the only shoe I wear. I only put on work boots when I visit a jobsite and as soon as I get back to the truck I change back. It has helped a lot
