Husky Harsin inherited a loaded team. Should have given Simpson a try. Saban wasn’t afraid to swap QBs even in a championship game. His Qb for his system? He’s got a dual threat and a pro style on the team now. But his dual threat obviously can’t run it and Deboer obviously doesn't have the balls to deal with the rest of the team and the blowback of benching “their boy”, as they refer to him, and perceived leader, to put in the fairly mobile, pro style guy and give him a legit shot it. Saban did it to Hurts but he had full control of the team and the locker room at the time. Deboer doesn’t. Milroe owns that team until he’s gone. Deboer is in a really tough spot. Yeah that’s probably it. Milroe is running the show. Or… I know this is crazy, but maybe he thinks Milroe is better than you think he is. I mean he does watch him practice everyday. And they know each other personally. And he meets with him a couple times a day. And has for the last 8 months. Maybe everyone in the college football analyst world is right about Milroe. Maybe the offense is just having the typical first year growing pains. Nahhhhh… that can’t be it. You probably right Abolt. Milroe has performed an insurrection and he’s running the team how he sees fit. Yeah that’s it. 🤣🤣🤣 I’m joking of course. Who knows what’s going on? We are all just a bunch of fans throwing our opinions around.

It’s tough with the coordinators not making adequate adjustments on the fly.

Deboer will be fine, after he's fired next year, freeze will hire him as an analyst, rehabilitate him, and he'll be coaching usc to the top of the big 10 two years later. Bet the farm!!!

He will do fine as long as he gets through Stage 1 which is overcoming unrealistic fan expectations. & beating Auburn … Bill Curry & Mike Shula were 0-fers & they didn’t last long … Fan expectation is to beat them regularly IJS

We are all just a bunch of fans throwing our opinions around. I'm thinking more along the lines of Deboer inherited this team and is not and will not make a change because he's afraid that the rest of the team will lay down, if he were to bench "their boy". After Milroe's second terrible game of the season, there was a ton of Sunday and Monday talk by the press about Simpson getting a start over Milroe. Most of the time, where there's smoke there is fire. Several of Milroe's boys all ran out and interviewed with an AL.com reporter and on their podcasts and social media on Tuesday and set the record straight saying Milroe was their guy, the team leader, the best QB in the room, and he would get the ship righted. All said the exact same thing and it went out in print. That was a tactful way of sending a clear message directly to Deboer about how they felt, without actually telling the coach to his face that Milroe had better be the starter. Would Simpson be able to run the offense that much better than Milroe? I think he would, but who knows? He's never been given the chance and we wont ever find out because Deboer is not willing to risk blowing up the "team chemistry" that he's allowed to build behind Milroe since the spring, when coincidentally, Simpson far outperformed Milroe in the spring game. You and I agree on a lot of football stuff but not on personnel evaluation when it comes to Milroe and never will. Superior athlete, tyring to play QB, but avg at best, at the QB position. Bill Obrien has probably made $50-75 million coaching football in the NFL and college and was over the QB room and Milroe for 2 yrs. Obrien told Milroe straight up to his face, that he was a great athlete but did not have what it would take to make it as QB and should change positions.

Obrien told Milroe straight up to his face, that he was a great athlete but did not have what it would take to make it as QB and should change positions. ^^ 100% Facts. And it all falls back on NIL...but it goes further...Nilroe owns the tide because of his lank collective. The collective is paying other players..the ones coming to his side on social media. The same ones getting their asses handed to them on the field. But the coaches can't...or are afraid to bench them because of the collective. The thing is, saban is the one that told nilroe and that db to create the lank collective. So it really all falls back on the goat.
The harder I practice, the luckier I get.

NIL money goes to the coach mailbox money. Gift cards Visa cards paid trips here the room# and combination! The NIL givers give to the players and to keep from looking stupid for backing a kid. The coach is forced to play him by cashing a few checks. The money talks. NIL money is spread all over. Milroe running plays are called because the OC has to call them. Buying the kid time. He makes it big he pays the givers back when he’s worth millions in the pros.
