But his dual threat obviously can’t run it and Deboer obviously doesn't have the balls to deal with the rest of the team and the blowback of benching “their boy”, as they refer to him, and perceived leader, to put in the fairly mobile, pro style guy and give him a legit shot it. Saban did it to Hurts but he had full control of the team and the locker room at the time. Deboer doesn’t. Milroe owns that team until he’s gone. Deboer is in a really tough spot.

Or… I know this is crazy, but maybe he thinks Milroe is better than you think he is. I mean he does watch him practice everyday. And they know each other personally. And he meets with him a couple times a day. And has for the last 8 months. Maybe everyone in the college football analyst world is right about Milroe. Maybe the offense is just having the typical first year growing pains.
