My team lost. Ok. My team probably still loses with the correct call. I just hate having the technology and expertise to get it right and turning a bling eye.

I know there are things that would bring the game to a 4 hour event if everything was called. I just figure there is a way to get it right.

That was inexplicable. Just breathtakingly bad. That’s the kind of call that convinces people refs are on the take

I agree. Should’ve been able to review the knee in the back UA’s guy did to OU’s guy after the tackle. Of course terrible Chris Fowler acted like it didn’t happen. He’s the worst.

Sure looked like he was on the take.

Not gonna say home cooking. A lot of bad calls. Bama looked like crap. It don’t matter.

Gotta make it too big to rig and bama doesn’t have the weapons or the coaching to do it this go round

That call looked like the red was paid or he needs to go back to calling PeeWee games.

Worst call of the year, makes you think the refs were paid off it was so bad. The kid made an unbelievable.play only to have it taken away by a stinking ref.

What made it so bad was that Bama needed that score in the worst way and made an unbelievable score finally. Then The Pin Stripes make a phantom call that did not even happen to take it away. Bama’s psych was already shot and then for the Refs to make that call and take the score away- If the game was not already over it was over after that call. The Refs need to feel the heat over that call. Can’t have the Ref’s dictating games. Officiating has gotten a lot worse the last few years in CFB.

We got whipped that whole game and I doubt the outcome would have been different but that was a crap call and the official on TV said the same.

Did it influence the outcome? Not really

Losing by 14 or 21 against a garbage team like the Sooners is equally embarrassing.

As terrible as the call was, what’s even more concerning is that we had the ball 4th & 2 and the only thing our coaches could come up with was a 40yd jump ball in the endzone. You seriously couldn’t throw a 5yd slant or something to get a 1st down and keep the drive alive?

I agree but it could have been a momentum switch. It could have sparked a flame and got them back in the game. But probably not.

Did yall see why the official made the call? He got it wrong but there is a reason he made the call if I remember right.

That wasn’t the only call. He wasn’t the only receiver. He was there to stretch the defense. The coach didn’t decide to throw the ball to that particular receiver.

Same crew that made the bad call against Texas. Of course we know what happened in that game 😏

He said Williams was covered up at the line at the snap( which he was not). When he touches the ball; it is illegal touching. If the balls go's somewhere else or he can't get his hands on it; no call.
I think that is correct?
Incredible catch; the kid has a gift. Made another crazy catch ; but was out of bounds.

I bet that call, because it was so blatantly bad and wrong, that an adjustment will be made. Bama will still get the Loss regardless.
But yeh. UA would have lost anyway but that call was flagrant wrong and no change was made when it should have been made.

Absolutely was a bad call and the officials should be able to reverse what was obviously the wrong call. On another note I have never witnessed or watched a Bama team play worse than that Bama team did last night. Given the talent that is on Bama’s roster and to only be able to muster 3 points. Plus can’t stop the Oklahoma QB from running and getting 1st downs. Oklahoma barely passes the ball all night long. This Bama squad is embarrassing given the talent level that is on the team.

Yes that was the call. It was a weird formation. If you look close Williams covered up the TE. Which in this formation he isn’t a TE because Williams is the Split End to the same side. The TE becomes an “extra tackle” when you cover him up like that. It appears that they ran trips to the TE side to get a matchup they wanted or to have the TE on that side for a protection reason. Since Williams covered up the TE the TE isn’t eligible. Which is fine because he stayed in to protect. But the ref saw it was a weird formation, saw that Williams covered up the TE pre snap, but when Williams caught the ball, the ref had it in his mind that Williams was covered up instead of him being the one that covered up the TE. Or that is what it appeared to be going through his head to me. As soon as I saw the extra tackle I thought they were gonna run to that side. Then when they passed, I assumed the TE went down field and was ineligible and that was the call… illegal man downfield. But when they called illegal touching on 2 I was like well he must have run out of bounds and then touched the ball and then caught the pass. After the replay… they blew that one. He got confused royally.

But to your response, if he WAS covered up and the ball was passed to someone else… the call would have been illegal man downfield.
