The real money is in salaries and benefits associated with the probably 5-10 million, or more, unneeded govt positions and these two know this very very well. In 2024 there were over 20 million govt jobs. Eliminate the proper numbers of those and I’m betting that the overpaying for stuff will miraculously disappear. The govt should not be a jobs program. 70% of govt workers wouldn’t last 30 days in private industry.
