I'm just trying to figure out who in Congress profits from keeping Status Quo, because you know somebody has to be making some money to keep from doing what most of America would like. It was created by banks when there were "bankers hours". By creating the hour shift the banks using the exploits of their special working hours were able to create an exra weeks worth of free interest on the Fiscal Calendar. Remember when the time change used to happen back in the 70's? Right near the first of October, which is the start of the Fiscal Year. The time change was never about Farmers, it was sold by the banks as their way of farming time and compound interest. I don't follow, there's still 365.25 days in the year. Wouldn't that only work if you compound or charge interest by the hour? I like DST . Go back before digital. The only time a bank could make a transaction were during its working hours. The bank calculates its revenue on the FY calendar. How many available working in-person banking hours are there in a fiscal year? In the old pre-digital system a bank made money by not letting the customers have access to their money.

I would prefer to stay on DST year round. I hate when it gets dark at 5
Gives me an extra hour to sleep in before I have to get up to go hunting!!

Only a politician or democrap would think you can cut a foot off one end of a blanket, sew it onto the other end of the blanket and have a longer blanket.
Give me DST 365 days a year!!!!!

I’m not sure why anyone would want to lose an hour of daylight in the evenings. Only time I don’t care for it is turkey season

Last time it came up it had more momentum than it has ever gotten in the past, but Pelosi didn’t like the way the Republican Senate at the time passed it without discussing it with the House. One of the rare things voters in both parties would like.
