Just saw on tv where the average person eats that many peanut butter and jelly sandwiches before they are an adult. I can promise you that number is way off. My 9 year old has two everyday for lunch while school is in session. He is in the 4th grade.

IDK how many I ate as a kid but pretty sure foods I liked as a kid I no longer eat. Raisins, Fig Newtons and PBJs are off my edibles list

I used to make my foriegn students eat them so they could say they have eaten the most American food there is.
Every time after they ate the first one I would see them eating PB&J's like everybody else. I saw one my formers from India at Publix, in his buggy was a loaf of white bread, grape jelly, and JIF. laugh

Like Elvis Presley, I substitute bananas for the jelly.

They're not allowed in schools anymore. Allergies.

I bet the number is way less now than it used to be.

We ate them as a kid. But Granny made peanut butter and banana sammiches and I'd take those all day over PBJ.

I still like a PBJ. Unfortunately all three ingredients are on the no-no list for a diabetic.

I’m a product of the sixties. Never heard of a peanut allergy until 15 years ago.
