I ain't planting till Nov AND some rain I planted first of Oct like I always do and I cry a little tear everyday. Bought some 6-way bags this year and I ain't doing nothing but feeding doves and turkeys. I should have waited.

I'm planting tomorrow , but will put fertilizer out later. There's not enough moisture in the soil to germinate the seed, it'll be fine till rain.

It's been a strange year. We've had a normal amount of rain but it's come in floods. This is the third month with nothing; got none in June or August either, but floods in May and July.

If we would not have gotten the 5-6" in Sept we would be toast. Between that and the heavy dew mornings we have had I hope we will be ok. I do not like these warm days coming back though. I hope the canopy the brassicas have given will shade the ground enough to get us to Nov.

Heck I sprayed early September and just now saw some of it again today. Most of the plots to my surprise were green with volunteer rye grass. I couldn’t have been happier to see it at this point. The deer have been eating it pretty good. I flat out don’t agree with the non rye grass folks. Y’all keep on doing what you’re doing and I will do what I do.
