And for the next project let’s tell him how to wire up a couple 3 way switches, geez man get someone to help you with this project, really not hard but if you don’t know there are a lot of potential safety concerns.

Take the old breaker with you , match it up with the new . That way you get the right kind of breaker. Some fit differently, easy to match them up looking at them So the new breaker will be a dual pole 15amp or 20amp? Single pole 15 or 20 amp.
It's hard to kiss the lips at night that chews your a$$ all day long.

What you shouldn’t do is flip that breaker on. Surely you know someone who has done electrical wok before.

Buy you a fluke and a voltage meter while you’re at it if you’re gonna start doing electrical work.
I do all the electrical in my house but I don’t fool with breakers unless I can kill the main.

I will follow that thread myself.  Seriously, although I don't always agree with bama_earl on stuff, I'm not going to fault him for wanting to learn how to do something for himself. If he learns enough, we might even consider issuing him a man card.

If he learns enough, we might even consider issuing him a man card. I have never done much electrical work in my life but with my new camp house I am wanting to do most of the work myself. Just thought this would be something I could tackle and save some money by not hiring an electrician. Get ready for many more home improvement questions. lol You TubeShows how to remove the breakers and install new ones. I also have a main shutoff switch to the breaker box. The pole and meter are actually new, I did hire an electrician to replace them last month. The male end of the air conditioner is just a regular ole 120 3-prong. I have it plugged into another socket in that room with an extension cord right now. This camp house has basically a whole cut in the side for a window unit, its not actually a window. And right by that whole they put the 220 socket because that old 1986 AC took 220. So I am just going to remove the dual pole 30amp and replace that with 2 individual 15amp breakers and wire it to one of those. So one of those 15amp breakers will not be hooked up to anything right, it's just there to fill that slot?

you can put the extra single pole breaker in there if you want
but its not necessary. They sell "blanks" that snap into the deadfront/panel cover
but Ive seen alot with empty removed breakers and no blanks

Snapping in an extra breaker will help with keeping you from accidentally touching the metal with your finger or tool and your panel probably has both blanks punched out on the cover. Just label it as not connected.

Guys I’m no electrician HOWEVER me and my 2 boys wired my new house. The entire thing, several 3 way switches, hot water heater, oven, mini splits, soffit lights, flood lights, etc.
I watched lots of YouTube videos and everything worked out perfect.
