This is why Nick Saban was the goat. He got his players prepped no matter what. I am more embarrassed at watching the players behavior with the back flips and celebrations then tonight we got a guy going nuts and kicking the ball away from the refs and centers. It's obvious they are treated differently now than when Saban ran the show. All good things must end though, glad they had so much success, it will be hard to repeat the last decade for any team

I'm not slamming Bama while they are down but I've noticed the change in team discipline as well.

Have to disagree. Sabans last years (probably 4 or 5) was some of the worst undisciplined teams during the Saban era......

Freshmen need to stay grounded. Great players play them. But no interviews, social media, nil money doubled for one of them. They all loose the vision.

Could be worse, we could be UGA fans. Last week they lost to a team that got beat by Vandy.

Worse loss I can remember. Those kids played like they had their heads up their arse the whole game. Every single coach needs their azz chewed. That was a pathetic imitation of a football game. I doubt a single Vandy player would start for Bama yet they ran all over our defense like chit thru a tin horn. No inspired play. No discipline. No urgency. Bama’s 2 turnovers led to 14 points. 3 penalties that kept a scoring drive alive. How do 2 #2s get on the field at the same time? Milroe making bad reads and huge mistakes (do you know where the line of scrimmage is?). It’s like he took 6 steps back today. Ryan Williams did his thing but when the other 21 players don’t pull their load, it won’t work.

Hasn’t beaten Alabama at home since 1976 when Watson Brown was the quarterback Vanderbilt. Yeah watched some of the replay and Bama got out coached. Players dragging around like they are owed a win. Pathetic. Deboer better whip these proma donnas into shape. The margin of error to even make them playoff just got smaller. And all the dancing and showboating needs to stop. Total bs.

The defense is the issue. Not the offense, not the time of possession, not the quick hitting drives by the offense, it's the defense. It's NOT the offense's fault the defense can't get off the field. This is 2024 not 1990. Adjustments are made in real time. It takes 1 communication to make an adjustment. Heck they are talking to the defensive SECONDS BEFORE THE BALL IS SNAPPED EVERY PLAY. There are iPads on the sidelines, 15 headsets. All they have to do is get off the dang field on 3rd and long. Saban built Alabama defenses for 3rd and med/long. They couldn't get off the field on 3rd or 4th down in Georgia and it should have cost them the game. They couldn't get off the field on 3rd down today and it did cost them the game. 35 points should be enough to be that Vandy team all day. Did the offense play perfect, heck no. But they played well enough to win. The defense was terrible in both aspects run and pass. And like I said after the first game, they are terrible on the back end. Terrible. They were terrible there last year too. 35-45 points is enough to win a game. If that doesn't win then it's a defensive problem. Blaming the offense for the defense being tired is BS. If they would get off the field in third down they wouldn't be tired. It would be like saying well the offense can't get a first down because the defense keeps going 3 and out and doesn't let the offense rest. It's just a dumb fan/ announcer point of emphasis that makes zero sense. Those guys are in good enough shape to play 3 plays, then rest for 3 plays while the offense is out there, and then go back in for 3 plays. Get off the field on 3rd down and it's not an issue.

Abolt I agree, you live by the big play, you die by the big play. But they didn't die by the big play... they scored 35 points. That is alive and well. They died because the defense sucks and they can't play man well enough to come after anyone.
