After the April 2011 tornadoes in Tuscaloosa, volunteers poured into Tuscaloosa. Then FEMA came in and shut all the volunteer groups down. Property owners could only use FEMA approved contract labor to help clear debris, out of their own pockets. It was a disgrace.
