Seeing videos of transports trucks stuck in traffic since unloading has slowed down. Might get a little rough before the election.
Seems a culmination of events is coming together and not for Kamala’s benefit Guess we will see but inflation is about to takeoff again I’m afraid

Not a big fan of government involvement but strikes that cripple our country should not be allowed. They need to force them to work and enter into some type of arbitration.

I understand the guy has a fiduciary duty to the union, but telling the American people you're gonna intentionally cripple the economy while wearing a bunch of gold jewelry isn't the best look for the unions. https://x.com/EndWokeness/status/1840978352997306404

I heard they turned down a 50% increase over the next five years. I heard on the news they want around 70%. WTF? As stated above I am not a fan of government involvement, but they need to stop this.

75% of what we produce here at the mill goes to the east coast for export ... it's going to get ugly for us before it gets better.
I read this morning that it's pretty much all about automation in the workplace. The Union already rejected a 50% pay increase and tripling 401k participation, also with better healthcare benefits. Anyone on this thread read the same story?

Maybe they'll replace all the crybabies with H2B workers.

Poor babies only making $100,000/yr doing work a trained monkey could do. Piss on unions. Screw the whole country in an effort to stop progress.

Fkk em, I cant wait until we can eliminate 60% of entry level low skill jobs with automation and ai. That's what this is all about, automation. The unions have strong armed companies for years into paying way way more then what the employees are worth. Its no different then when GM went belly up, the gov should have let them reorganize and get away from paying some dip stick 35 bucks an hour to sit on the side of an assembly line and put lug nuts on. I saw were the crane operators in CA are wanting over 300k per year.

Eliminate all of the entry level jobs and guess who gets to pay for their groceries and housing. We're already paying for enough lips on the government tit.

The whole system is a joke. No work = No money. That's not how it is set up today, we have created a nanny state. Social program after social program.
Entry level jobs are just that, a stepping stone to the next level.

Just proves that unions are nothing but organized extortion at this point. If you don’t like your job, find a new one and shut the hell up. The market will regulate itself.

They just showed an interview with some guy that's part of leading the strike and wow, I couldn't hate the longshoremen any more. What a real POS. Replace them all with machines, I don't care. This is extortion at it's finest.
