Windfinder will not show the same data as a dropsonde the hurricane hunters drop. That is real-time data. Wind finder is junk regarding hurricanes

To put it very very simply, windfinder is good for lower level sustained winds under 20mph, not very much with gusts or above

He’s good for tornado outbreaks but I got bored with his stream as with most hurricane ones. He’s very informative and gives back to storm victims. Great guy

I hunt the big bend WMAs a good bit. These areas are very low and flood from seasonal rain. This surge is going to do a number to these places

My Aunt's house in the Tampa area is flooded, as is probably everyone else on Treasure Island. They and their cats are on top of the mattresses currently hoping it doesn't rise anymore. What makes it even worse is the toilets started overflowing with sewage as the water was rising. The record at St Petersburg was 4'. Currently it is almost 8'.

Maybe its just me, but the winds don't seem to be as bad as the weather channel is trying to make them. Looks like the water surge is going to be the biggest issues. It will be large swath damage because the storm is so large but doesnt appear it will be total devistation from winds as Michael was in 18'. Just my .02 and I have nothing to base it on but watching the TV. Hope I am correct though.
