15-20 storm surge at Alligator Point estimated. Will wipe clean those houses. Too much wind and water. Could be 85 mph gusts when it passes through Atlanta. The power outages could be historic from this one.

I’ve watched alligator point slowly wash away over previous small storms. This is going to be bad news for that place.

Can't wait to see what kind of outfit Jim Cantore is wearing this evening. Probable been deep in the bottle all day so his swaying back and forth on camera looks more real.

We are in Dauphin island on the gulf side. I have never seen waves as big as the waves we are seeing. Bet impressive. Sun is out fishing is not great but thankful for our location. God help everyone in the path of this hurricane.

Gonna be condos and Alvin’s Islands out there after it all gets washed away and bought up for cheap. One of the last little hideaway beaches left

As I stated previously this will be a historical storm, between the surges, inland flooding and power outages, this won’t be good. Also have had numerous confirmed tornados many with debris signatures. I haven’t looked at reports yet

We still have power and water, so things are as great as they could be.

I've never seen it in person, but isnt there a weird dome concrete house building built out as far you legally can somewhere near Pensacola Beach? The entire thing is designed to be inundated under a big surge but it still has enough room to park vehicles under it when the weather is stable.

I am not smart enough to post a picture but for those of yall with the windfinder app check it out. Windfinder is indicating that the eye is on shore south of Perry, Fl with winds of tropical storm force. Any thoughts?

It's a couple hours out, at least. And winds are 130mph

Maybe the shallow water in that area of the Gulf will stop it from getting any stronger
