Sadly the person who stayed behind at Alligator Point is living his last day on earth. 15 feet of water plus waves and 130mph wind is not survivable.

Man it started raining here in Hilton Head around 4 am. Took the little one to school in a flood. Finally cx school tomorrow. Numerous tornado warnings already.

My buddy in Carrabelle bailed this morning and headed to his brother’s house in Tallahassee. Not much further but 45 minutes from the coast. Plus his brother and SIL are in their 80’s so he’ll be able to help them as best he can at 71 years old.

Can anybody tell me what the storm surge
will be in Perdido with this storm? 0 For a bit, the surge for Perdido might be a couple feet in the negative. This. I expect extremely low water levels for a bit.

Was about a foot and a half this morning and now we have NE breeze blowing the water out and the tide falling out to boot.

Was about a foot and a half this morning and now we have NE breeze blowing the water out and the tide falling out to boot. Waters been high on Dauphin Island all morning too. High tide was at 06:55

Well, I hope that guy on Alligator Point is at least in a house on stilts and not one of them that are on the ground. Not that it really matters. Drowning/being crushed to death is a bad way to go.

Most of those houses there were built in the 70s and 80s from the looks of it. You can tell they've never had a bad one hit that area.

HH just found 115 knot FL winds. 132 mph. Hard to fish in that. You'd have to have a good trolling motor for sure

Can anybody tell me what the storm surge
will be in Perdido with this storm? I am on Perdido Bay. Tide is outbound with a northerly wind. Surge should not be much at all. Bay may empty out before it comes inbound for the next high tide around 0700 tomorrow. I just raised my lift high and tied the boat to pilings to reduce swing.

Deputy is going from house to house on Alligator Point. Some folks won't leave. That one house that looks like a space ship, there is a car there.

The eye has contracted into a tight perfect circle in the last 30 minutes. Not good at all. I would expect 130+ within an hour or two, if not sooner.
