We had a heckuva Hurricane party the night Opal rolled thru, not a care in the world. I cried like a baby the next day when me and my dad walked the property and saw just how many big, mature oaks we lost. Oddest thing you ever saw, very few big pines down or damaged but the big Hardwoods just got slammed.

Yep. Opal came and went a couple of times.
You thinking about Elena? We had to evacuate twice for that one. No telling how many tens of thousands of pounds of grouper a hand full of us caught after she passed. Storm was supposed to hit us, so all boats were moved and we stayed on them. Next day it took a hard right towards Tampa so we came back.A day later she made a loop and started heading west so we moved boats again. She crossed the middle grounds and flooded Perdido Pass and Terry Cove with grouper then made landfall in MS. If you look at the tracking, you’ll understand to never predict a storm until it’s gone. stayed with my dad on his boat for that one. We were tied off to a barge with about 5 other boats up a creek across from bear point marina. That was a long 3-4 days all we had to eat was turkey ham. Never wanted that chit since lol

Opal blew down my three best acorn producing oaks at Oakmulgee. Probably 100 year old trees just blown over roots and all.

Ivan was the worst for us
Our rain chances are plummeting by the day - now tomorrow is 39% and Thursday 42%
Would not mind a little but hope we dont get bad. Not showing high winds here either

I remember lots of rain and flooding from Opal. I'm sitting down here 15 miles from FL and 4 Miles from GA. Gonna pray the farm holds together. Thank you lord we just sold chickens and are empty.

I still remember Hurricane Camille in 1969. Those idiots had a "Hurricane party" and some of 'em died. Hurricane ain't 'nutin to be foolin' around with.

Would not mind a little but hope we dont get bad. Not showing high winds here either Ivan was the worst I've ever been through. And I've been through probably a dozen growing up in Pensacola. Never seen so much destruction the next day. Hope I never see that again.

My luck has been so bad lately, it could be raining pussies and I'd catch one with a dick broke off in it.
