You thinking about Elena? We had to evacuate twice for that one. No telling how many tens of thousands of pounds of grouper a hand full of us caught after she passed. Storm was supposed to hit us, so all boats were moved and we stayed on them. Next day it took a hard right towards Tampa so we came back.A day later she made a loop and started heading west so we moved boats again. She crossed the middle grounds and flooded Perdido Pass and Terry Cove with grouper then made landfall in MS. If you look at the tracking, you’ll understand to never predict a storm until it’s gone.

We were down at DI catching spanish macks like crazy...guy came driving down the pier, yelling to everyone to get off the pier cause a hurricane was coming. We packed up and left, got home and started boarding up windows and helping the neighbors, whose husbands were working, board up. Storm was headed NW, then turned and headed east, then looped back and headed back NW again, riding the coast along the way.
