Naw, he literally meant the cheap ass Tupperware stocked Ruger American will outshoot the Hawkeye M77 seven days a week and twice on Sundays. It doesn’t make good sense.  I've got an early 80s tang 77 in 270 that will shoot pretty good, if you can take the time to 'come-along' the trigger to the point where it breaks.
