Dang. Just dang. Opal kicked major azz along the coast & well inland. I used to buy a much needed chainsaw just before, or after a major hurricane came ashore near my home. I had a habit of writing the storms name on those saws case with a permanent black marker. I’ve got an old Husqvarna that has cut many trees, that’s named Opal. Fredrick was a nasty one for coastal Al. Katrina kicked out but pretty good too. Coastal Mississippi got slammed by Katrina, but all you ever heard about was New Orleans. Hummmmm. Around’97 or so a little storm named Danny stalled in lower Mobile Bay & it rained more than 20” in 30 hours.
I’ve lived in lower Alabama most all my life and have built back house and business more than I care to remember. I’ll stay for this one too & hope you folks get your much needed rain
