If he did that on the first shot, his shooting ability/equipment is remarkable. Either that or it was simply a stroke of timely luck.

I've shot to half that distance, and a solid bipod and bag rest firming up the butt stock is a must. I don't claim to be an expert or good enough to have youtube followers, but 1250 will humble even the best of shooters. I can only imagine how doubling that would complicate things.

A bullet staying supersonic at that distance is the first thing that comes to mind.....

he obviously did it but it was not the one take shot he vaguely eluded or shown it as. statistically improbable at that range for anyone with any gun. the king of one / two mile competitions have 2 moa targets (36” for 1 mile and 72” for 2) and he supposedly hit a a can sized target …. horsechit.

He’s been thoroughly debunked on snipershide but it’s humorous seeing some of these posts

I’ve seen enough guys at a 100 yards with some jam up rigs not shoot too well. I know I’ve shot out to 600 and that’ll humble one too. Even off a bench very few can stack them repeatedly. Takes lots of time behind the trigger to get in the groove but once there it gets much easier.

Today’s guns and scopes are so much better, that helps a lot. The biggest advantage has been heavier bullets and rifling sped up for the longer bullets so the rounds shoot and group much more consistently. Lighter and faster is finicky just like in archery.
Heavier and faster is where it’s at especially with these newer rounds.

I wondered if that was it. I’ve shot one and with the muzzle brake it wasn’t too bad, kinda mild actually.

I’m happy to see AU throw a 40 yard pass. And I’m not a AU fan

The current record for a sniper kill is 4156 yds in Oct 2023 by a 58 year old Ukrainian sniper on a Russian soldier. The above video would be a chip shot.

🤷‍♂️
It’s gonna be a difference in billets and speed I’d guess

I just know that way out of my realm.

At the farm I can shoot to a little over 1000 yards. Never shot past 600, that’s a pretty good poke with my deer rifles.

Somebody is spending a lot of time and money on their hobby and perfecting their craft. The gentlemen on here that have perfected their craft at tracking dogs for deer have learned a lot of members have not perfected shooting 100-150 yards, much less over 2,400 feet.

We use to shoot 2k all the time with a .50 cal back in the 90's.

I'm not impressed with anyone shooting at a known distance at a fixed target. Anywhere. I don't care if Carlos Hathcock was shooting.
