This is an older spreader that was my granddads. I sanded it down and painted it and put new fins on it. It is leaking oil from the gear box. I’m not a 100% sure that you can add oil to it. For using it a time or 2 a year I think it would be best to just tap it and put a grease fitting in it. This picture was when I finished it. I used it once and it’s been in the barn since.
