This looks like the first storm of real concern for the year. The last forecast models tells me its going to be a slow roller flooding super-soaker for lower Miss/Al.

They threw about 30 different possibilities out there and one of them kinda stuck. 20 years ago, we would not really have considered this storm even worth mentioning, other than a lot of damn rain and maybe some bigger than average water in Louisiana.

Knocked the leafs in some cotton last week = not good. Corn harvested = good. Soybeans at all stages = it is what it is. Pastures and hay fields crunchy = need it bad.

Bout to head out the door and get the boat to higher ground. We don’t need another drop of rain. If we get another 3-5” any wind is going to bring down a bunch of trees. Our camp is on Vermillion Bay and with latest model it’s not looking good.

Shouldn't have any problem...this joker sits over the gulf coast until next week and we'll all be in trouble. The remnants should be over TN and KY this weekend.
