If it’s proven that he knew there was the potential, he bought the gun and allowed access to it, then he is liable and should be charged. No slippery slope here. Where is it proven? Otherwise the kid would’ve been arrested or at least detained for making a threat. Otherwise it’s a he said she said deal Now if there’s proofs the kid did then I don’t have a problem with charging dad with something. I’ve yet to see it and if there is then the fbi is accountable too wouldn’t you say. How many false accusations have been brought to light. They’re a dime a dozen these days by folks trying to get it their way. Look at all the folks locked away in insane asylums just a few years back? How many have been falsely accused of whatever only to be acquitted later on.

News says: The mother tried, she called the school 30 minutes before in a panic worried about her son and others... It is still not adding up. Why is she smiling like that in the mugshot? https://x.com/MarioNawfal/status/1832792286947635260

Abolt,,, just the threat of a ass whooping worked for me . Lol
I never threaten them though , I just gave them one. One look most times was enough.
As for the guns there were rules as when they could have them. Kids here were taught about guns and how to use them starting at babies .
Locking them up and hiding them away is the worst thing a parent can do . IMO!!!!!

That's true. And butt whipping a have to come from the right person and from the right place. They don't work for all kids. You don't not shoot up a school because you are scared of the repercussions. It's got more to do with your parents being good people and passing down morals and spiritual truths.

But that’s where it’s headed. Watch the Colin Noir video I posted.
It’s a slippery slope. Like I pointed out. I grew up an accusation resulted in an azz whooping no matter if the person lied. These days it’s the opposite. Legally you can’t just lock someone up without a law being broken. So far all I’ve seen is allowed. Sonia there a law dictating an age requirement for possession? Some states probably do If the azz whoopings were still being administered to the kids regularly, on a zero tolerance basis, and the kids were required to attend church every Sunday, and parents were actually involved with their children and their lives, you wouldn’t have all theses problems in society that we are seeing today. and there’s the problem 👍

I read where the counselor got the name mixed up and confiscated another kid's backpack just before the shooting started. I don't know why people smile in mugshots, either, but I see it happen in our county arrest reports, too.

Just remember THIS before you agree with arresting the father. If they came to your house (right now) how many guns are “un-secure”? How many of you have an old school wooden gun cabinet that the glass can be busted out in 1 minute? How many of you would the media say have a “cash” of weapons and a “hord” of ammo? Might be you next time. THIS is how red flag laws become commonplace.

If the kid was a threat then why was he a student to begin with? It just seems if the argument is the kid had made threats and was a time bomb then why would the school allow him to continue to attend? If the dad should have known better then why was the kid not in juvenile detention?

That is a valid point.

BINGO!! I would hit all of those except the wooden gun cabinet.

It just seems if the argument is the kid had made threats and was a time bomb then why would the school allow him to continue to attend? If the dad should have known better then why was the kid not in juvenile detention? There was an investigation by the FBI and it was determined he wasn't a threat. Apparently he was playing an online game, got mad at the kids he was playing against, and said something like I'll come to school tomorrow and shoot yall. Over the headsets, not typed out on a keyboard. So the other kids told their parents and they called the police. Since it was just his word against theirs and he denied it, there was no real evidence to deem him a threat. That's what I heard on the news anyways.

There was a video released of him and his father being interviewed for that accusation. He looked like a normal everyday day kid and so did dad. I tried looking for it and I think it was on NBC nightly news. Then there was this being talked about https://www.wsmv.com/2024/08/28/dem...argets-firearms-vehicles/?outputType=ampI also saw a snippet on 48 News about a new law in Montgomery dealing with new gun legislation 🤷♂️ what it entailed

The other kids reported his threats but he denied it. Well, there you go. See? No problem. The reality is that just a tiny bit of common sense would have made the dad realize he should keep guns away from this kid. Turns out that would have saved 4 lives.
