One boy (who is one of our good friends' kid) mentioned that a kid that goes to his school is a boy, but has decided that he's a girl and has been telling everyone he's really a girl, not a boy. I truly wasn't expecting that from a 6th grader.

He asked me how he should handle being around this kid. I told him he should always treat the kid (and [i]anyone[i]) politely and with respect, but that he does NOT have to pretend that it's "normal" or ok or condone it). Now that it's starting to come out that the GA shooter was likely trans, as with several recent ones, I can't stop thinking about it. My daughter goes to the same school (a grade ahead) and this student will likely always be in the same school she's in (along with tons of our friends' kids). The problem is, you're going to run into this just about anywhere you go. It seems like virtually every school has at least 1 or 2, not to mention a handful that believe they're gay (often at an age where they shouldn't be thinking about sexuality at all). Satan has woven it into the fabric of our society and it is slowly becoming "normal" to more and more people.

I’ll say I’ve seen that from both sides thru friends.

Kids handle it a lot better than most realize. They’re more accepting and the big reason the progressive agenda is always geared towards the young.
